Do you have a printer with 2 ink cartridges? One is black and the other is colour? Then read this!

There are 2 kind of printers. Those with an integrated print-head for which you can get dirt cheap ink cartridges and those that run on cartridges with the print-head being part of the ink cartridge itself. (like your printer)

The last mentioned printers are cheap but ridiculously expensive to run. Basically they are money wasters unless you don't print. Compatible ink cartridges for these printers don't exist. (patent reasons)

'But I have been buying compatible ink cartridges for my printer in the UK for years!'

No you haven't!

Compatibles do NOT exist! These are used cartridges which have been cleaned, re-filled, re-labelled, re-packed and sold as 'compatibles'. All of them were originally made by Canon, HP, Lexmark etc

Most new originals cost 15 to 35 Pounds each and the so called 'compatibles' 10 to 25 Pounds each. Obviously the price depends on the brand and model of the printer but these prices are insane. Profit margins on originals for re-sellers are non existent and the risk for the re-seller for 'compatibles' (non-functioning ink cartridges) is unacceptable.

Unless you print 4 sheets a year you are much better off spending 30 Pounds/Euros more on a printer that runs beautifully on € 2 ink cartridges. In any case, we can't help you to the cartridges you need!
